Daily Prompt: Liminal

via Daily Prompt: Liminal

The feather kisses you

gave me are still wet

in my cheeks,

the little frown that I

wiped from your face

is still imprinted in

my hands,

the hugs you gave me

are lingering in

my shoulders,

but all of a sudden

my tiny little child

have grown big to

shrug off all these as

silly gestures of

childhood,

now as you stand

as tall as me,

to dismiss all

my concern with

a cool attitude,

let me wait patiently

for your liminal stage

of child to adolescence

to pass with a

intrinsic understanding

essentially to a mother

to see my little

pupa emerge itself

into a beautiful butterfly

to fly with colourful wings.Liminal
